Harry Potter is a fictional character created by writer J K Rowling.
J.K. Rowling is a female writer from England.
She has written seven books about Harry Potter altogether.
They form a chronicle of seven years in the life of a young boy from eleven until eighteen years old.
Each book represents one year in the life of Harry Potter.
J.K. Rowling got the idea for Harry Potter while waiting for a train one day from Manchester to London on the eve of Halloween.
As she waited, she saw a young boy wearing spectacles running along the platform on the other side of the track and disappear.
As she eventually boarded her train, she saw an advertising sign which read ‘Harry the Potter’ affixed to the wall.
On the train journey to London, J.K. Rowling wrote the first words of what later became ‘The Philosophers Stone’ and ‘Harry Potter’ was born.
Harry Potter is an orphan boy aged eleven years.
His Parents were killed by Lord Voldervort and he was then raised by his Aunt in London.
His destiny, however, was to become a wizard at the Hogwarts School of Wizardry in Scotland.
He met there his special friends Ron Dursleyand Hermione and faced the challenge of Lord Voldevort and Dumbledore.
All of the Harry Potter books have become movies.
Daniel Radcliffe plays Harry Potter in the movies. Harry becomes a superhero for kids and adult alike, fighting evil.
